Introducing Reworked I

Hey, lovely listener! We’re proud to present a special release from the Silent Sonic Records roster, Reworked I.

Reworked I is a 7-track compilation that came out of a slightly different way of working than we usually do. It started with Center of Attention making a track and passing it on to the rest of the roster. From there, each artist used it as a starting point, taking whatever detail or part they liked and shaping it into a track of their own.

The reason we came up with this idea is that making ambient music can get quite isolating. You spend a lot of time in your own head, using the same tools, and after a while, it’s easy to fall into familiar patterns. Starting from someone else’s material pushes you a bit. It makes you hear things differently, and in a quiet way, it also connects everyone involved, even if each track was made separately. It just brought a bit of new energy into things.

If you look closely, you can see something in the titles as well. They’re set up as chapters, which kind of mirrors what’s happening across the release. Like a story that keeps moving, but also shifts as it goes. Each artist adds their own angle, changes the mood slightly, or takes things somewhere unexpected. So even if it all starts from the same place, it doesn’t stay there...
