Ripples is a gentle and highly emotive EP with a strong storytelling aspect. Inspired by the importance of water as a key component to life, each track features natural sounds of water in various forms, such as flowing streams, subtle drips, and soft waves. Just as ripples spread across the surface of a lake, these sonic waves are meant to bring life and sustenance to the listener. The music carries a quiet intention: to help restore balance, provide calm, and ease the mind in a world that often feels overstimulating and overwhelming.

Behind Retland is Portland, Oregon–based producer Ross Bartlett. His compositional and organic ambient project reflects his background in psychology and his passion for exploring the connections between sound, emotion, and nature. Through tactile textures and carefully crafted atmospheres, he creates music that feels both grounding and expansive, drawing listeners into spaces of stillness and presence.
